This is the terroir responsible for Avontuur Estate’s award-winning wines.
Lying restfully amongst the vines is the beautiful Avontuur Stud Farm where the emphasis has always been on quality rather than quantity. Avontuur Estate was acquired by Tony Taberer in 1983 and since then has garnered many local and international awards and has consistently produced premier wines which grace tables around the world.
Red varietals: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.
White varietals: Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.
