Lying restfully amongst the vines is the beautiful Avontuur Stud Farm where the emphasis has always been on quality rather than quantity. Avontuur Estate was acquired by Tony Taberer in 1983 and since then has garnered many local and international awards and has consistently produced premier wines which grace tables around the world.
Red varietals: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.
White varietals: Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.

The a la carte restaurant on the Estate features beautifully presented Cape Country Cuisine with seating on the terrace a popular option in summer. In winter, a cosy fireplace draws patrons inside. The venue is popular for intimate weddings and private functions. Reservations essential.
