Lanzerac

Settle yourself beneath the shade of an old oak tree with a chilled glass of blush-pink wine in the heart of wine-growing areas of the Western Cape.

The Lanzerac Manor & Winery is located just inland from Cape Town on a private working wine estate in the world-famous Jonkers-Hoek Valley. The hotel is situated in the centre of the famous South African wine producing areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek and Somerset West, and very close to a number of well known golf courses and the beaches of the Strand, Gordon’s Bay and Cape Town.

The Lanzerac Estate itself is protectively surrounded by the Helderberg mountains, creating its own wind-free micro climate with a more stable range of temperatures.

The hotel's rooms, restaurants, bar, lounge and facilities are all located in the estate’s 300 year old Manor House and out-buildings, amidst 10 hectares of award-winning landscaped gardens featuring numerous ancient oaks, some over 160 years old.

Summer and its warm, sunny days is from November to end April, averages temperatures of 25°C. Winter, from May to October, has an average temperature of 18° C and is known as the green season because of the plentiful winter rains.

In the amphitheatre of life, the peaks of enjoyment are to be found in the babble of a brook, the whisper of a breeze and the cheer of a warm sun. These are the special qualities that you will find in Lanzerac wines - wines as majestic and celebrated as the estate from which they were borne.
