Shark Spotting

Great Whites are surface eaters, so they are easily spotted from a helicopter. Nowhere else in the world are these feared, yet magnificent predators found so close to shore in such numbers, as the southern most tip of Africa. When you fly over these denizens of the deep with Silver Cross – it will feel as if you are really up close and personal…’

‘Great White Sharks, made notorious by the movie, ‘Jaws,’ are mistakenly perceived as killing machines, but they are generally elusive, wary and selective in their hunting habits. The number of shark attacks is relatively rare and in fact you have far more chance of being killed by a falling coconut in Thailand than being killed by a shark in South Africa! The most maligned of the shark species and contributing to the most hype and hysteria, the Great White is only occupying its rightful place in the ocean.’
