The Bell 206 JetRanger is one of the most successful helicopter designs in the world. The design originated in the mid-1960s as an entry in a US Army competition for a light observation (scout) helicopter. To date, it has set more industry records than any other aircraft in the world.
The JetRanger easily seats five (including the pilot) and is a favourite with helicopter operators worldwide. At Silver Cross, we have selected the JetRanger because of its history of reliability and the fact that it has the best safety record amongst all single-engine aircraft. The Bell 206 is a two-rotor, turbine-powered helicopter with conventional, two-bladed tail rotors, using hydraulic flight controls and has a reputation for ease of operation along with excellent speed and range.
